As we see the close of 2011, let's remember all the great things that have happened to each of us, keep in our hearts all those we have lost and be grateful we have our loved one's with us for support, compansion, joy and hope at this time of the year. And most of all, let's not forget those men and women who fight for our very freedom to do as we wish every day of our lives. Well summer is almost over. {HK}Trixie will be back at work teaching adorable students all the things they need to survive in the world. Ha Ha. I will be back to work myself in about a month. Looking soooooooo forward to that.

There are several DoD clans who have set up scrim nights also. TWD has theirs on Thursday night at 6:30pm PST at
66.150.164.47:27015, password is twd, SOF has theirs on Friday at 7pm PST at 208.100.45.68:27015, password sof, and of course we have ours on Wednesday at 6:30pm PST and Saturday at 7pm PST.

Now for the news.....We have gone from public scrims to private invite only scrims. To participate in these you must go to our forums and sign-up in the "Public Announcement" section and under the thread called "Scrim night invite only sign up". Post your name with an email address in order to receive the password. If you prefer not to post your email for the general public to view then pm me {HK}recon'de'sprayer and I will get you signed up.

Other events taking place at Hell's Kitchen. Some clan members are trying to organize a weekly Left4Dead2 night.

In addition, we have revamped our recruiting process. We now take a group of players who would like to be inducted into the clan. Everyone must fill out an application which is on the left side navigation bar of this page. Applicants are voted on by command members and if accepted they are asked to wear the {HKReg} tag and populate the server at least 20 hours a month. After 30 days, Hell's Kitchen general members vote on whether to induct the applicants as new members. This decision is based on time spent on server via pyscho-stats, applicant conduct with his/her admin and ability to get along with others; among other qualities we observe. These are just a few things happening here at Hell's Kitchen.

New maps on server and download page

We have added some new maps to the server and our download page. They are dod_kleinstadt_v2, dod_prome_b2 and dod_china_gaojiazhuang_b1. These include overviews for dod_kleinstadt_v2 and dod_china_gaojiazhuang_b. We also have the dod_chinagaojia.wad file.

We continue to have our friendly scrims on Wednesday at 6:30pm PST and Saturday at 7pm PST. However, this Saturday we are having a FUN NIGHT with weapons restrictions, low grav, and disco at 7pm PST. Come join us for the FUN.

We have added several new maps to our download section. Some are hard to find. Loaded up are dod_rats_caravan_v1, dod_overrun_a2 and dod_nijmegen. Please browse our downloads. You will also find a section of clan maps made by our clan members. In addition, we have added Half-Life's Firearms 3.0 mod to our download section under MODS.

We have revamped our method of recruitment. You have to apply. Go to the forums to apply. However, at this time, Hell's Kitchen is NOT recruiting. We will keep you posted when we start up again.

Site Makeover

It is time for a new website header along with other images. I am holding a contest for this. Its open to all the public and hk members. You can find all the details by going to the Public Announcement Forum.

Hells Kitchen Website upgrade

Im going to ask for every members patience while this site goes through some major upgrades. Im going to try to have all this done in a day, however this may run into a few days. What usually is a two hour project turns into a two day adventure.

What's Cookin' in the Kitchen?

This year has past fairly quickly. Hell's Kitchen has added many new members to our clan. Check our Clan Roster for those newest members. Sadly, we have had a few move on to other things. Taking a moment to reflect on the past year leaves me hopeful and pleased that DoD 1.3 still survives even after source.

Hell's Kitchen is a community of gamers who come together to play and enjoy each others company, to laugh at our fearless leader and his Canadian English, to cry with members who have faced deaths in their families and illness, and to be a support system where members can vent, cry, laugh and be themselves among friends.

So take a moment to reflect on the events of the past year, to smile at that which fills you with joy, to pause and consider those lives that we lost, and to be thankful for those we have to share our greatest joys and deepest sorrows.

Hell's Kitchen wishes all a very merry Christmas and the greatest New Year. Happy Holidays!!

Clan Motto

Ok all you gamers out there we need your help! We at {HK} have been working very hard to get a clan motto and have it narrowed down to 2 that have tied for the winning {HK}King Motto title.
